This is the last bowl of waffle fries with bleu cheese fondue ever to be served. Barnaby’s has pulled it from the menu to control costs.

Salud! Or whatever you say when you eat the last bowl of something ever to be served.

I'm sorry about how everything turned out. I truly am. I realize now… I was voting too hard, too much. All along I was only pushing all the votes away. I hope one day you'll forgive me and we can still be citizens

Okay I guess it’s time for an . I showed up here a little while before the , just setting up along with some other some stuff. I didn’t realize all these other amazing people were about to show up! And, I dunno, I guess I am a little better dressed than I normally am. Ha! Anyway, once people started showing up and everyone seemed to think I belonged here, it felt like it would be rude to leave, and so now I’ve been at this party all night, hanging out with someone who claims to be an Eastern European princess, drinking loads of . I’ve had way too much cocaine, and I think I now have a job at a bank? Or an embassy? A man gave me this phone and a business card with my name on it that looks like it would be from a place like that, but it’s in a language I can’t read, so I can’t tell. Something tells me he thinks I have important secrets, though, and is keeping me alive only as long as he believes that. These don’t seem like people to be trifled with. There was a bottle of vodka in the shape of a Tommy gun behind the bar. The man noticed me noticing it and took it down and handed it to me. I tried to decline politely, but he said “no no, my gift to you.” His face told me it was a test. Behind him, a man gave me a silent look that said not to argue any further. I don’t know when or if I will be allowed to leave. I am interested in and , and I can’t wait to meet all of you. Please remember to !!

Reviewing my old Tweets. I forgot about how Twitter used to prompt with "What are you doing?" or something. 2007 is just pages and pages of things like "Napping" and "Drinking beer" and "Fisticuffsmanship"

If you repeat all the common complaints about Mastodon often enough, even if only to refute them, then Mastodon appears behind you in the mirror and feeds you to a billionaire man-child

Exercise update: I picked up Indian food tonight from a place next door to a little gym. Parked right in front of it

If I've requested to follow you, it's probably because someone boosted you and it made me laugh, and laughing at things is one of my favorite things to do on the internet, and I also like to cut out the middle-person and pass the savings on to me

So banning comedians and charging for blue checks makes the birdsite neither free as in speech nor as in beer, right

To make it easier to follow people on other instances, I put together this iOS/macOS Shortcut.

https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/664879df9c3e4216ae2aed5630b76c66

Go to the profile page of someone you want to follow, tap the Share button, scroll down and tap Follow on Microblog.pub…

It’ll open a new tab showing their profile on your instance.

16 exclusive charging stations right at the entrance of a notoriously congested grocery store parking lot. A huge row of Teslas right were everyone trying to park their non-Tesla car (whether ICE -or- EV) has to look at them while circling, looking for a space. Marketing genius… but not necessarily in the way Tesla intends.

On the fediverse, there seems to be less of a tendency to just scroll indefinitely. Once you’ve seen all the updates, that’s it, until there’s more. I kinda like it! Should free up a lot of time to do more useful things while on the toilet

On macOS, host and dig don't query the system resolver the way other apps do. Try these instead: dscacheutil -q host -a name example.com or dns-sd -G v4v6 example.com
